Space Shuttle Atlantis backdropped against the Earth


As seen from Russia's Mir Space Station, the nose of the Space Shuttle Atlantis is backdropped against the blue and white Earth. The STS-71 mission is the first of seven planned Space Shuttle-Mir link-ups which will pave the way toward assembly of the International Space Station.
