MIDAS Experiment Module

Materials In Devices As Superconductors (MIDAS) experiment module. The experiment module was designed to test the physical properties of a High Temperature Superconductor (HTS) circuit. The module consisted of a vaccum chamber with the HTS specimen, cyrocooler compressor, ion pump, and a data acquistion system. The MIDAS experiment measured electrical properties such as the critical transistion temperature, Tc, and the critical current density, Jc, of a HTS system in microgravity.
