Microgravity Isolation Mount (MIM) Facility Operations

MIM Hardware

Microgravity Isolation Mount (MIM) flight hardware. The MIM technology was designed to sense and counter the natural background vibrations that occur in microgravity. Therefore, vibration sensitive experiments such as fluid physics experiments could be isolated from vibrations. Experiment hardware is mounted to the MIM flotor which is the platform whose motion is sensed and controlled to isolate the experiment from vibrations.
