Crystals of nine of the seventeen proteins crystallized by the flash-frozen technique on the first Mir mission. The crystals were photographed using polarized light except for crystals of myoglobin and hemoglobin. B-Amylase, ribonuclease, STMV and hemoglobin are shown at a magnification of 70x, creatine kinase at 100x, and all other crystals at 50x.
