Mir Sample Return Experiment (MSRE)/Particle Impact Experiment (PIE)

Both the PIE experiment and the MSRE experiment were photographed after they were deployed on the outside of the Mir Space Station to show positioning. In the center of the photograph are the two experiment panels, attached to a rail on the outside of the Mir Station.
