Shuttle-Mir Stories - Linenger's Letters to his Son

April 28, 1997
"
4:30 p.m., time for bed"

Dear John:

It is four-thirty in the afternoon, time for bed. I&# 146;ll be up at one-thirty in the morning to do final preparations for the spacewalk. I’ll open the door and leave the station for about six hours starting at seven-fifty tomorrow morning.

This schedule reminds me of our time flips going to and from Russia. Maybe that training will come in handy.

Sleep tight. I’ll hang on tight the whole time, promise.

Love you. A kiss for Mommy please. Tell her not to worry.

Dad.
