"No time for a real letter"

Dear John:

Hope that your eyes feel as heavy as mine do, and that you’ll sleep solidly the whole night long. Mommy would like that, too, I’m quite sure.

Love you. Give Mommy a kiss and a smile for me, please. I’ll try to find time tomorrow to write you a real letter.
