The
JSC History Collection is maintained by the University of Houston
- Clear Lake, and consists of the following series: Shuttle,
Space Station, Center History and General Reference. The collection
includes documents collected from JSC, contractors, and other
NASA Centers, which were compiled by historians working on chronologies
and histories of NASA's human spaceflight programs. The transcripts
from the JSC
Oral History Project are accessible online at the
JSC History Portal and includes information from individuals
who helped NASA achieve its illustrious success.
In 2011, large portions of the Apollo, Skylab, and ASTP series
were scanned into PDF files by JSC. These electronic
files are available via reference request by contacting the
archivist at UHCL or the JSC
History Office. The paper copies of these documents are
now located at the National Archives and
Records Administration, Fort Worth Regional Archives.
